Faced with the current fire emergency in southwestern France, YouCare and the 1% For Animals Label have decided to launch a major project to ensure the sustainability of our forests and terrestrial biodiversity. Together we will create the first YouCare Charity Incubator.
With this nursery, our goal is to produce more than 50 000 trees per yearand then to deploy them as quickly as possible in the other regions of France. Our nurseries will multiply more than 20 species of trees in order to avoid any problems related to monoculture. In addition, we will plant numerous species of bushes and melliferous plants allowing the reintroduction of small mammals and bees.

The YouCare team went to the South of France for a Clean Walk operation with a partner company. On this occasion, we visited the Refuge Les 3 Dindes, with whom we regularly collaborate during animal rescues. In possession of unoccupied land, the president of the 3 Turkeys offers to make available to us free of charge thespace required for the creation of our pilot nursery.

The South-West of France is victim of unprecedented fires. In one week, 20,000 hectares of vegetation disappeared.

The fires in the South of France continue. We react to current events, which also echo our nursery project. We are launching an online donation drive to accelerate the creation of our nursery and thus reforest the disappeared forest plots.

It’s been a week since our reforestation fund was put online. A total of 25 000€ was raised in one week. Over 900 donors!
Some media have also relayed our operation, including Sud Ouest, Woopets and Actu.fr.

Thomas, the president of the association, went to the site to study the exact location of the facilities with the 3 Turkeys team.

We will start installing the first germination equipment.
